EWG's tests, if they are scientifically grounded, found mercury levels no greater than 2.3 micrograms per liter in any subject. Yet, the National Research Council says that even twenty times that level would be below any known risk.

How does EWG justify declaring public health danger from a study that, by their own numbers, is so far removed from levels that established medical organizations consider risky?
