tapas from the sea @sangriatapas

My travels had me in Dallas Friday, so I was able to spend some time with my little sister Carlie. I am the oldest of four girls and Carlie (or Gots as I call her its a spin on Vigo as in Vigo the Carpathian) is the second-oldest. Based on my childhood nickname for her, Carlie and I have clearly engaged in some classic sibling rivalry over the years, but we love each other to death and had a wonderful visit. As members of a family of six, its rare that Carlie and I get one-on-one time, so what a treat it was to enjoy dinner for two at Dallass adorable Sangria Tapas y Bar. Car loves seafood just like me, so we ordered tapas from the sea exclusively calamari a la plancha with fresh lemon juice,extra virgin olive oil, and sea salt; scallop ceviche; and crab-stuffed mushrooms. We washed it down with raspberry and vanilla-spiked sparkling sangria and then went shopping for lipstick. Perfect night with my sis.
