Last night after a long, hilly route at run club I found myself in a bad way ravenous, yet too physically drained to do anything about it. When Lloyd got home I was in bed with a glass of water and a few cheddar cheese goldfish in my hand. It was all I had the strength to prepare. Thankfully, even though hed already eaten, he got out the ingredients for the dinner I planned and made it for me.Those scallops with cabbage and capers were to me like spinach is to Popeye. It was salty, sweet, and juicy perfect to rehydrate and reinvigorate me.After eating, I was able to get up and normally conduct the rest of my evening.And Lloyd took the leftovers to work for lunch today, so hell get to benefit from his efforts too.
