roasted salmon with maple glaze
Last night for the first time, possibly ever, Lloyd did not eat the fish I made for dinner. No, he hadnt already eaten. He wasnt feeling under the weather. In fact he was especially ravenous, and hurriedly made tortillas with melted cheese in lieu of the roasted salmon with maple glaze I slaved over. OK, it only took about 8 minutes to make, but I was quite offended just the same. After I cooled off (and finished the last bite of my earthy, sweet salmon in peace) I realized his rejection wasnt personal. The distinct, full-bodied flavor of wild salmon has never been Lloyds very favorite, and these filets tasted particularly robust.Even the same type of fish from the same source can taste a little different from time to time, and thats the beauty of eating a natural, whole food.In this case, it didnt work to Lloyds favor, but it worked to mine yummy leftover for lunch today!
