Summary: Suicides rival the battlefield in toll on the U.S. military. Researchers compared the omega-3 levels of 800 active-duty military personnel who died by suicide to levels among 800 controls. While all service members had low omega-3 levels, suicide death was 62% greater among men with the lowest DHA levels compared to those with the highest levels.
