Conference for Food Protection to Review Issue of Species Substitution

The Conference for Food Protection (CFP) meets every other year to allow representatives from the food industry, federal, state and local governments, academia and consumer organizations to address emerging problems of food safety that can be controlled at the food retail and service level. Recommendations are provided for changes to FDAs Model Food Code. At the request of BSB, CFP will be addressing species substitution at the April 2010 meeting.
