Lloyd and I were headed to the grocery store over the weekend around lunchtime and realized we were entirely too hungry for our own good. So we made a quick stop at one of our favorite local Japanese restaurants to get our appetites in check. The lunch menu features a variety of bento meals, which include a protein, rice, and salad in perfect lunchtime portions. I chose the miso butterfish, because this is a fishier fish that I havent quite figured out how to cook well at home. Tokoname has is mastered, though. The slightly sweet miso glaze was absolutely delicious with the buttery, flavorful fish. I actually bought some miso paste recently for a soup recipe, and am excited to try it on fish at home soon.
