I had high hopes for celebrity run-ins over the weekend in L.A., but only saw Toni Basil and Ashley Parker Angel.The food, however, lived up to my expectations, and the highlight was definitely lunch in Korea Town.I realized when we got to the restaurant that, other than kimchi, Ive never eaten Korean food before.I adored it because 1) it was entirely family style so I got to try bunches of different things 2) it featured hot soups and 3) it was spicy.My favorite dish, pictured above, was the seafood soup, which arrived boiling hot. We were each given a raw egg to crack and cook in the soup. It was a very engaging meal, and Ive already been googling for a Korean restaurant here on Oahu.
