Founded in 1988, the International Coalition of Fisheries Associations (ICFA) comprises national fish and seafood industry associations from the world’s leading fishing nations. ICFA provides a unified voice for the industry in decision-making processes on global fish and seafood issues. Committed to the sustainable use of marine resources, ICFA members prioritize global food security and advocate for science-based, fully participatory fishery conservation and management practices. Currently, ICFA includes 24 member associations from Europe, North America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, and Latin America. ICFA members actively participate in various UN meetings to ensure that the perspectives and priorities of the seafood industry are represented and considered.
