grilled scallops, asparagus, and pork
Bacon-wrapped scallops are delicious. Bacon-wrapped asparagus is delicious.So it only seemed natural that scallops and asparagus would pair perfectly with pork for our Saturday afternoon barbeque last weekend. This was our first full day back in Hawaii, and I was so ready to prepare my own food after three weeks of dining out.Ive gotten pretty good at fitting all my belongings into carry-on luggage, sleeping on planes, and exercising almost daily while travelling. But I simply cant get my cooking fix when Im on the road, and I really miss it.
My first homemade menu was nothing fancy just scallops marinated in a little BBQ sauce, asparagus and shallots tossed in olive oil, and pork with some Penzys Northwoods ruball thrown on the grill.But after so many amazing meals made by the pros in San Diego, I needed to ease my way back into cooking.Now Im warmed up and ready to cook to my heart’s content for few weeks before my next work trip strikes.
