Greek yogurt, lemon, and caper tuna sandwich
I was at Whole Foods over the weekend and, because they had rearranged the layout a bit, could not find the bread section. It was pretty crowded, so I almost gave up when I stumbled upon a display of specialty breads.Thrown out of my usual comfort zone, I wasnt sure what to choose.Immediately and subconsciously, I began judging each option based on how good of a tuna sandwich itd make.It then occurred to me that nearly the only thing I use bread for is tuna sandwiches.Every now and again Ill have toast for breakfast, but I think its safe to say 85% of our bread consumption in this family goes toward tuna. So that narrowed it down pretty quickly to a specialty bread that was a) on the softer side and b) pre-sliced. I ended up grabbing a loaf of sliced brioche, a light-bodied, yet rich-flavored bread. It was the perfect complement to a fresh tuna salad of tuna + Greek yogurt + lemon juice + capers.
