Yesterday my mom arrived on Oahu to be here for my birthday, May 6.Its the perfect birthday to fall on a Friday Im turning 30!Im thrilled to have her here not only for my milestone birthday, but for two whole weeks, which will include Mothers Day and a quick trip to the Big Island.My dad is joining for the second week, so my little cottage by sea is going to be full of family.Itll be wonderful to have the company and a good test run in sharing my space for when Lloyd returns in less than six short weeks.After my mom got off her long flight from Texas, we got a bite to eat at Baci Bistro, my favorite Italian restaurant in the neighborhood.I ordered the caprese salad with grilled shrimp, a combo that wasnt technically on the menu, but should be because its delicious.As soon as my mom got settled in here at the house, the meal-planning and restaurant-selecting for the duration of her visit was in full-swing, so stay tuned for lots of fantastic food.
