We have an address! It’s
been a while since Lloyd and I have had a real, stand alone address, but tomorrow
we’re getting the key for the beautiful unit we’ll be calling home here in Hawaii. We were on the fence between buying and
renting, but in the end renting won out because a) we won’t be here long enough
for buying to make sense, b) the task of renovating a home could put a serious
kink in the carefree island weekends we have in mind, and c) this place was too
lovely to pass up. It’s got a dedicated
home office, outdoor spaces including a private courtyard with grill, and it’s
located in Kaneohe
just around the bay from base. Of course
in every single place we looked at, my eyes went straight to the kitchen, and
the one we ended up with is wonderful. I
can barely contain my excitement to cook that first meal after we move in! It could get a little over the top.

Thursday after we found our home, we celebrated with dinner
at Buzz’s Steakhouse. It’s probably our
favorite restaurant in the area – comfortable ambiance right on the beach, friendly
service, and outstanding food with healthful options. I got the Ahi Caesar salad, which I had
enough of to also eat yesterday for lunch.
