I had a wonderful and pretty clich Labor Day weekend. Lots of BBQs (three to be exact) and a full day of shopping the big sales. Whenever Im at the main mall here in Honolulu over lunch, I have to enjoy a meal at arguably my favorite restaurant on the island, Chef Alan Wongs Pineapple Room. This is the same spot that I took my mom for an unbelievable brunch on Mothers Day.Yesterday Lloyd was my date and we split an ahi tuna sandwich.My favorite part of this dish is the furikake, which Ive successfully sprinkled on seared tuna at home.Its one of the easiest ways to flavor fish I know of.
