I was in New York Tuesday and Wednesday for a couple work meetings. And where there are meetings of people in the seafood community, there are delicious seafood meals. Dinner Tuesday night was at Almond in the Flatiron District. Despite the fact that I am a little less mobile than usual, I just adored walking through the city on a warm summer night to this cozy, yet lively restaurant. I ordered the day boat scallops with corn ragout, which was fresh and sweetly rich at the same time. We had a working lunch on Wednesday of make-your-own sandwiches. I got a good-sized serving of tuna salad, which they know how to do right in New York. Baby was squirming all over the place the whole trip. Maybe hes a big city lover like his mama.
