The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) renewed the agencys policy statement on the net weight of glazed seafood products by incorporating a 1991 warning to the frozen seafood industry as a compliance policy guidance document. Simply stated the net weight of frozen glazed is not to include the weighty of the glaze, otherwise the product may be deemed adulterated and misbranded.
